XAVI MEJUTO

A graduate in Tourism Engineering, he founded Itinere in 1997 at just 26 years old. Passionate about history and Tarragona, Xavi isn't afraid of challenges and is a creative and intuitive person who, over these more than 20 years, has built a great team and developed new tourist activities and experiences to suit all types of visitors. He shares his extensive knowledge and his passion for Tarragona and Poblet, also in English and German.

GEORGIA COSTA

Historian and Writer

Catalonia Tourist Guide No. 2834

Admired by the entire team, she is a historian and a successful author of young adult literature, with more than eleven published titles. Born in Tarragona, she is proud to belong to a long line of Tarragonans who have survived all kinds of historical vicissitudes. She is an enthusiastic guide, with extensive knowledge of her city's Roman and medieval past. Her communication skills are boundless, and she is also fluent in Italian and English.

ESTHER LÓPEZ

A historian and archaeologist by training, she currently leads the reservations department. Her background in the archaeological laboratory equips her to organize and manage data, ensuring the team's optimal performance. She coordinates and plans tours with great precision.
In addition, she has extensive experience as a friendly, dynamic, and engaging guide, always ready to help you experience the city in all its essence. An excellent English-speaking guide.

LAIA BORGES

With an adventurous spirit and a background in anthropology, she has combined her travels with a career dedicated to promoting culture from multiple perspectives. After living for several years in Mexico and the USA, she returned to Catalonia to solidify her path by doing what she loves most: sharing the country's heritage and history with passion, rigor, and warmth. She offers tours in Catalan, Spanish, English, and French.

JOAN OLIVELLA

Joan is the Reus native on our team. On his guided tours, he will show you every corner of his hometown and reveal the secrets hidden behind the facades of the modernist mansions. He knows it all. He is very knowledgeable about the biographies of his city's illustrious figures: Gaudí, Prim, Fortuny...
And if that weren't enough, he is a skilled carpenter and has extensive experience in stained glass making.

ADRIÀ CUARTIELLES

The youngest member of the team, he grew up within the cathedral walls and is therefore very familiar with it and its secrets. He is a tenor and plays piano and organ. Another of his passions is photography, which he uses to capture the daily life of his city. He leads his tours with enthusiasm and a dry humor that delights our visitors. He considers himself more Tarragona native than the city's bell and will soon be a historian.

ARNAU FONTANILLES

Passionate about the classical world and sharing the history of Tarragona, he conveys the heritage in an approachable, natural way, adapted to all types of audiences. His experience in the tourism sector is reflected in his attentive and professional manner. Involved in the world of castells (human towers) as an active member of a group, he combines dynamism and pedagogy thanks to his work in special education. He speaks perfect English.

TARRAGONA

Tarragona preserves many ruins of the Roman colony of Tarraco, like the Roman Amphitheater facing the Mediterranean Sea, the early Christian cemetery and the Forum in the alleys of the ancient medieval walled city.
